Piazzale alla Valle – Mendrisio represents the most significant commercial real estate investment undertaken in Ticino during the 1990s, initially promoted by SUVA. The architectural and urban design for this project was entrusted to the renowned Architect Professor Mario Botta, celebrated for his prestigious works across Europe, North and South America, and Asia.

Covering an area of 100.88 km2 and home to a population of 51,183 residents, Mendrisiotto stands as the most densely populated district in Canton Ticino, boasting 507 inhabitants per square kilometer.
